Canvas Care

For Light Cleaning and Trouble Spots any cleaner you choose should not contain caustic chemicals, harmful abrasives or leave any greasy residue behind. Before applying anything to your canvas item, be sure to test in a small hidden area to ensure the cleaner is compatible with the canvas fabric. Once you've determined the effectiveness of your chosen canvas care product, gently apply with a soft, clean cloth & follow the instructions of your selected canvas care product.

For Heavy Use Cleaning

To remove heavy dirt, dark scuff marks, color transfer, or general surface residue, begin with light bar soap or clear liquid hand soap or gentle detergent. Rub a small amount of your chosen soap into a soft, wet cloth and then gently rub the cloth onto canvas to remove stains. Use another wet towel, without soap, to rub out the soap on the fabric and let full dry. Do not machine wash your canvas item.

How to Store Canvas

Remember that canvas, and its leather trim, are natural materials and should be stored in a breathable bag, not plastic, to prevent the growth of mildew and bacteria. For handbags and travel bags, store in the provided dust bag when not in use and stuff the item with tissue or soft fabric to help maintain its shape. Doing these two things will keep the bag shape correct and protect the canvas over time. To prevent creases from forming in your canvas over time, make sure not to rest anything on top of the canvas, and to not let it fold on itself unnecessarily. Last, but not least, please always store canvas in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight to prevent discoloration.

Preventing Stains, Marks, and Color Transfer

If your canvas gets wet, wipe excess liquid dry as soon as possible and store your item upright and stuffed with dry fabric (for handbags/toiletry bags/travel bags) while it airs out. To prevent color transfer onto your canvas item, please take extra care when using your canvas products and avoid contact with black or dark-colored fabrics such as denim since the color may rub off on you accessory over time and with repeated use. This is especially true in humid or damp weather. For lining care, spot treat with a baby wipe or damp cloth to minimize stains.
